Whadda ya know from funny, ya B#$!@(%!
Okay, so Donjuanica pointed this out to me originally, and I forwarded it to Atticusser, and some disparate opinions have arisen. Donjuanica said “HIL-arious.” I said it was “Funny because it’s really stupid.” Atticusser says, “Not funny because the guys who made it think it is funny.”
So weigh in: Funny or not funny? Somebody call the people at TBS, since they claim to know about these things.

Also, bonus points to whoever first correctly associates this post’s title to the movie it hails from.

I gotta go with NOT funny. What kinda movie is Lord of the Rings? A buncha weird looking guys in weird clothes jumping on a bed? Seriously.

I watched it the other day, but only started giggling half-way through it… because it is stupid. But the kind of stupid that grows on you until it’s kind of funny. ‘Specially the “Merry, show me how a bomb goes”. Dumb, yes… but “heehee dumb”.
Krista: In answer to your question, LOTR is an AWESOME kind of movie. Because, Aragorn. That’s all. Just Aragorn. *sigh*

FUNNY! That whole scene at the end was a bit ridiculous…I’m glad someone portrayed it as such.

This thing is hilarious. I really love the long drawn out laughs.

I gotta go with Atticusser on this one…at least for now. Case in point: I only made it 49 seconds and then I couldn’t take anymore. It wasn’t even “heehee dumb”…sorry Suzanne. It was just plain dumb.
Donjuanica makes a good point (as does Krista). This whole scene is pretty much ridiculous. I find as time goes on that LOTR provides more than it’s share of these moments that I didn’t really notice at first, but I guess this bit tainted it for me forever. I guess those people at TBS do know a thing or two about funny, cause that commercial is HIL-arious.
Anyway, I guess I’ll have to watch Mandalf a few more times to see if it does grow on me, but for now, dumb.

When I watched this, I was just sitting there saying, “Wow, this is dumb, and a little smile was growing on my face because of the dumbness of it. But then I laughed pretty good at, “Merry, show me what a bomb does.”

HATED it. I agree with Ryan. I only watched it once but this was worse than the first time I saw Charlie the Unicorn. Which I find quite funny now. Hey wait. Crap. Does that mean Mandalf is going to become funny?

I would not put this in the same category of stupid as Charlie the Unicorn, simply because someone took the time and effort to animate that stupidity.
